Certification
The EcoVert is currently under the process of certification under the SWCC (Small Wind Certification Council) in accordance with AWEA 9.2 standard. An Ecovert has been installed in Canyon, Texas (Underwiter Laboratory Test site) and is undergoing rigorous third-party testing to verify compliance with 4 main requirements.
Power Output Average power generated at various wind speeds. This will determine the efficiency of the turbine and will provide information related to expected power generation for various regions. These results will determine the return on the investment made buy the buyer.
Safety The EcoVert is arguably the safest turbine on the market. Certification will cover several aspects related to safety such as structural integrity, electrical safety, Emergency brake, and any other potential safety concerns.
Acoustical Noise Unwanted noise is a significant issue with community- scaled wind turbines. Noise reducing features implemented in EcoVert are among several features that make the EcoVert perfect for almost any application. The independent noise testing will consist of measuring sound decibels at specified distance from the turbine.
Reliability The EcoVert runs smoothly and without complications. Certification testing will demonstrate that the turbine will reliably produce electricity for decades.
