Studies conclude that 10% of the planet’s population can be powered by ocean-based energy sources. With wind turbines being the most developed and economically viable renewable energy converters, it is natural to consider their deployment at sea where the resource is strong.

One example is how our unique coil designs enable us to provide much higher voltages, actually allowing the inverter electronics to be located on the ground instead of in the nacelle.

Also, by eliminating the gearbox and providing a generator capable of converting the slow direct-drive rotor speeds efficiently into electricity, many tons of mechanical hardware may be removed from the system.
